City of Detroit Lakes Economic Development - Community Development


The City of Detroit Lakes Community Development office provides staff for the Development Authority and the Industrial Development Corporation.
Commercial LendersThe Community Development Department can also provide you with a variety of information concerning labor force, project financing, zoning, available commercial/industrial space, utility rates, demographic information, and financial incentives. The Community Development staff can assist you with tax increment financing, financial packaging, and assistance in preparing applications for various local, state and federal economic development loans and programs.
There are a variety of development services and assistance available to meet the start-up and on-going needs of business. There are six commercial lenders in Detroit Lakes with combined deposits of over 300 million dollars.
