City of Detroit Lakes Community Foundation - Grants & Scholarships


Detroit Lakes Area Community FoundationThe Board meets quarterly on the fourth Thursday of January and the 3rd Thursday of April, July and October at 4:00 p.m. at Wells Fargo Bank Board Room. A two-page Grant Application Form and a sheet of Guidelines are available for download at the bottom of this page. This form must be submitted along with supporting material about your request. The Foundation guidelines restrict use of funds to the Detroit Lakes Area. We normally fund start-up activities, capital improvements, equipment and special program needs. It is not our policy to fund on-going expenses of an endeavor or to fund an individual person. All funds must be granted to a 501(c)3 fiscal agent. If you have questions regarding a project for which you are seeking funds you may call any of the Foundation Board members.
