NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That the Detroit Lakes City Council will meet in the Council Chambers of the City Administration Building, 1025 Roosevelt Avenue, on October 14th, 2008 at 5:00 PM to consider the annexation of a tract of land in Section 15, Township 139 N, Range 41.  The territory to be annexed consists entirely of unplatted lands.  All of these lands lie entirely within the County of Becker, Minnesota and the description of such land is as follows:

            SECTION 15- TWP 139, RANGE 041 8.41 AC 422’ N & S BY 867’ E & W LYING 50’ W & 33’ N OF SE COR OF SE ¼

The annexation will be by Ordinance and the City has received a petition for annexation from 100% of the property owners in this area.

The City Council will proceed in this matter pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 414.033, Subdivision 2 (3).  All persons who desire to be heard regarding the proposed annexation will be given an opportunity to be heard at this meeting.
