Detroit Lakes, Minnesota

            A special meeting of the City Council was called to order in the Council Chambers of the City Administration Building at 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 7, 2007, all members of the Council having been duly notified of the meeting and the business to be transacted.

Present:            Mayor Larry G. Buboltz; City Administrator Richard Grabow; and Assistant City Administrator Lynne Krieger.

                                    Aldermen:  Aune, Brenk, Hannon, Tollefson and Zeman.

Absent:             Aldermen Anderson; Heltemes; Imholte and Tucker; Finance Officer Louis Guzek; Community Development Director Larry Remmen; City Attorney William Briggs; City Engineer Gary Nansen; Public Works Director Bradley Green; Liquor Store Manager Bradley MacMaster; Public Utilities Superintendent Curt

Punt; Building Official Calvin Mayfield; Police Chief Kelvin Keena and Fire Chief Jeffrey Swanson.

            Upon the recommendation of the Finance Committee, a resolution was introduced by Alderman Brenk, who moved its adoption, authorizing the execution of the Federal Aviation Grant Agreement (AIP 3-27-0021-05-07) to provide additional funding for the seal coat of the Runway 13/31 and completion of the supplemental environment assessment at the Detroit Lakes Airport.  The motion for the adoption of the resolution was seconded by Alderman Hannon and carried without a dissenting vote.  The Mayor declared the resolution adopted.

There being no further business to conduct, by general consent, the Mayor adjourned the meeting.  (4:10 P.M.)
