A special meeting of the City Council was called to order in the Council Chambers of the City Administration Building at 4:00 P.M., Thursday, August 16, 2007, all members of the Council having been duly notified of the meeting and the business to be transacted.
Present: Mayor Larry G. Buboltz; City Administrator Richard Grabow; Assistant City Administrator Lynne Krieger and Finance Officer Louis Guzek.
Aldermen: Aune, Heltemes, Tollefson, Tucker and Zeman.
Absent: Aldermen Anderson; Brenk; Imholte and Hannon; Community Development Director Larry Remmen; City Attorney William Briggs; City Engineer Gary Nansen; Public Works Director Bradley Green; Police Chief Kelvin Keena; Liquor Store Manager Bradley MacMaster; Public Utilities Superintendent Curt Punt; Building Official Calvin Mayfield and Fire Chief Jeffrey Swanson.
After Stuart Omberg, Director of the Detroit Lakes Community and Cultural Center, reviewed their 2006 Audit and reviewed their proposed proposal for funding for 2008, a motion was made by Alderman Zeman, seconded by Alderman Aune and carried, without a dissenting vote, to accept the Audit Report for 2006 and place it on file. Mayor Buboltz assured Mr. Omberg that their proposal will be reviewed at the City’s Budget Meetings.
There being no further business to conduct, by general consent, the Mayor adjourned the meeting. (4:56 P.M.)
