Detroit Lakes, Minnesota

            A special meeting of the City Council was called to order in the Council Chambers of the City Administration Building at 3:30 P.M., Saturday, August 25, 2007, all members of the Council having been duly notified of the meeting and the business to be transacted.

 

Present:            Mayor Larry G. Buboltz; Aldermen:  Anderson, Aune, Brenk, Imholte, Heltemes, Hannon, Tucker and Tollefson.

 

Others

Present:            Jim Brimeyer of Brimeyer Group, Inc., Mitch Wimmer, representing the Detroit Lakes Public Utilities Commission.

 

Absent:             Alderman Zeman.

 

 

            The Council narrowed down choices by having a number of paper ballots listing  1st and 2nd choices.

 

            After a lengthy discussion on the top two candidates, there was a motion by Alderman Hannon, seconded by Alderman Heltemes to offer the City Administrator Position to Robert Louiseau.  After further discussion, the Mayor called for a vote and the motion carried on an eight to zero vote.

 

            There being no further business to conduct, by general consent, the Mayor adjourned the meeting.  (4:40 P.M.)
