The Detroit Lakes Police

Law Enforcement agencies in the area. Officers receive a Uniform
Allowance, various Health Insurance options, and most duty gear is
paid for by the Department. Officers can enjoy the benefits of
working in a small town environment that offers some of the same
excitement and types of calls as larger departments due to our
tourist economy and higher caseload of work.
Applicants must be Minnesota POST
Licensed or Eligible to be Licensed with a minimum 2-year College
Degree and no Felony convictions or other serious offenses plus a
good driving record.
