Parent Information on Internet Safety for Children and Teens links are listed below. They offer some great resources on answering questions about common internet dangers and current trends. The Detroit Lakes Police Department also offers numerous brochures from the National Child Safety Council featuring "Safety Pup" for kids and teens. These pamphlets are available free of charge through our department and the School Resource Officer. Please contact us if you would like some for your family or if you have other questions on the topics they cover.

We also usually have a stock of goodies for the kids ranging from police stickers, to coloring books, to Halloween safety bags. Don't hesitate to stop by our office during normal hours. You can get free stuff, meet a police officer, see some of our equipment, and learn all about what the Detroit Lakes Police Department does for your home and community!
