| Detroit Lakes has a beautiful pavilion
constructed in the early 1900's on the shore of Little Detroit Lake surrounded by the City
Park. The pavilion has hosted many famous orchestra, bands, and musicians over the years
providing dancing entertainment to the public in a beautiful setting. The building has the
capacity of 1,200. |
| The pavilion hosts many events throughout the
year from Polar Fest in the winter to dances, wedding receptions, arts and craft fairs,
woodcarvers' convention, family reunions, anniversary parties, and water carnival events
in the summer. |

- Can't legally sell set-ups, beer or liquor; must hire someone,
such as Jaycees, with a license to sell 3.2 beer or set-ups.
- Don't need liability insurance for private parties; usually
covered under homeowner's insurance.
- Security is up to individual.
- BYOB with a donation area for set-ups may be less liability
for leasee.
- Get permit to consume if no set ups or beer is to be sold.
